Hey guys,
I used to have an Onkyo R560, but the HDMI audio didn't output in 7.1 or 5.1. After reading, I read that it was normal with the model. The feature had not been built-in. I have used Onkyo products for a while now and I was never disapointed.
So today, I went and picked up the Onkyo TX-NR626 and I started playing a PlayStation4 game. I had already played the game before getting this receiver and the image was perfect.. now, with the TX-NR626.. on the Game HDMI out port, I am getting a huge VSynch-like visual glicth... The screen is basically torn straight in the middle...
So I unplugged the HDMI cable and plugged it right back in the TV without passing through the receiver and the image is perfect. I plug it back in the Receiver and again, I have a huge tear in the game (but only as I'm moving the camera around in the game). If I stay still in the game, I don't see the issue (It could still be there, simply that because I stand still I don't see the effects).
Anyways.. so seeing as how the issues only happens when I go through the receiver, I assume this is not a PS4 or my TV's issue.
I tried to look in the settings to see if there's anything I can play with but not much luck. Would anyone have any clues as to what might be happening here?
I am currently updating the firmware, so I hope this could fix the bug. Anything else I should look into?
Thanks!
