I have the JBL Bar 5.1 Surround soundbar connected to my Amazon 4-series TV via HDMI ARC. When the soundbar is on, the volume indicator on my TV stays on screen, constantly. Is there any fix for this or do I need to ditch HDMI ARC and go w/ optical?

Having the same issue with the JBL 5.1 and new Pioneer 50” Amazon Fire TV.

HOWEVER, I found that by turning the soundbar on first with the JBL remote, and then turning the TV on shortly after with the TV remote, the volume indicator disappears and I can go back to using the TV remote for volume and even turning it off. This is absolutely not ideal and will be contacting JBL to see why this is happening, but at least I got the volume bar to disappear.

Anyone else able to solve this issue!?

I’m having the same issue and I just purchased my JBL 5.1. So are you not able to use your sound bar at all or do you just leave it on a preset volume
